Why Joe built Clatus
Joe Hundley runs Copper State Adjusting, a public adjusting firm out of Mesa, Arizona. He built Clatus because of a gap he kept hitting in his own work: estimating tools price the repair but don't run the rest of the claim; the legacy claims CRMs felt clunky and dated; and everyone he knew was holding it together with Gmail, spreadsheets, and a notebook.
He wanted one operator-grade workspace that actually fit how a claims team works — the pipeline, the correspondence, the documents, the financials, and the policy, all on the same record. So he built it. Copper State Adjusting runs on Clatus in production today, on real claims, every day. The product isn't a hypothesis about what claims teams need; it's the tool its author needed and now uses.
The problem we saw
A property claim has a lot of moving parts: a pipeline stage, a stack of carrier emails, inspection photos, an estimate, supplements, deadlines, and a financial picture that shifts every time something changes. Most firms track those parts in different places — the pipeline in one app, the emails in an inbox, the photos on a phone, the money in a spreadsheet, the deadlines in someone's head.
That patchwork costs real time. Context gets lost between tools. Follow-ups slip because nobody owns the clock. Spreadsheet versions multiply. Nobody can answer "where does this claim stand?" without opening four things. The estimating tools don't fix it — they price repairs, they don't run claims. The dated CRMs don't fix it — they're slow and they don't touch financials or correspondence.
Clatus is the answer to that: one record per claim, with everything attached to it.
The Clatus claims pipeline.
Who's behind Clatus
Clatus is operated by Stride Capital LLC dba Clatus App — Stride Capital LLC, based in Mesa, Arizona. It's built with Sales On Demand as the product and engineering partner. Small team, a real operating firm behind it, and a clear bias: the people building the tool are close to the people using it.
Our commitment
- Security. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in the United States. We don't sell it, we don't share it, and we treat claim files as the sensitive records they are.
- Data ownership. Your claims, documents, and financial records are yours. You can export them at any time. No lock-in games.
- Isolation. Every firm's data lives in its own tenant, enforced with per-organization row-level security. One organization's account can't see another's, period.
